The project aims at identifying the mechanisms by which light triggers the spatial reorganisation of transcription in the nucleus, a route underlying rapid transciptional reprogramming in plant cells. The project started this month with the arrival of Filippo Mirasole recruited for this newly founded work. Thank you to the Velux Stiftung panel for their renewed trust!

We developped a workflow using Imaris for 3D image segmentation of the nucleus and that of immunostained RNA Pol II. This workflows can be applied to any immuno-or FP labelled nuclear component showing a discrete, a near-discrete localisation. We used DataViz for data plotting and visualisation. The details of the workflow will appear in a publication soon (Randal et al, under revision).
DataViz is an R-Shiny based interfaced developed by Devin Routh (concept & realisation ) and Célia Baroux (concept) to interactively plot data derived from 3D segmented images.
